Something departs, drifting into the ether. Death is not  the moment when life ceases; it is the haunting absence, the profound emptiness that lingers after the farewell. It is the weight of a body that has gone after deforming the surface of a chair, an empty ashtray, a glove looking for a hand, an out-of-tune piano, the resonant echo bouncing within the heart of a forsaken home.

In the 19th century, spirit sessions emerged from the desire to fill that void with words, crafting bridges to connect the realms of the departed and the living through dialogue.

Each portrait in this series merges contemporary faces with facial features taken from vintage photographs found in various European countries
